Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 31, 2012
Atlanta alcohol treatment is now available on an affordable, outpatient basis in metro north Atlanta, at WellStep, a private addiction medicine practice located in Roswell. A new informational website has been created to introduce patients to this effective and convenient alcohol treatment program. Treatment may include outpatient detox for selected patients or a variety of FDA-approved medications to help reduce alcohol cravings. Counseling referrals are made as well to licensed professional counselors who are expert in helping patients struggling with alcoholism. WellStep accepts several insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, POS, and HMO, as well as United Health Care and Coventry. For those patients not utilizing insurance, the program is significantly more affordable than inpatient treatment and most other private treatment programs in the area. Mark S. Banov, MD, MPH, FACPM is medical director of WellStep?s outpatient alcohol treatment program. Dr. Banov is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the Harvard School of Public Health and received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
